Bio
I am a professional creative striving to educate the next generation of world-changers. For two years I studied industrial design with the International Center for Creativity through Cedarville University and now work as a member of the ICC's instructional and design staff as I pursue my Masters in Sustainable Design through the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. My strengths include education, public presentation, systems thinking, concept visualization, rapid ideation, creative and innovative problem solving, and digital and hand rendering.
Sustainability statement/philosophy
Through my masters courses in the sustainable design program at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, I have learned not only how to design better, but more importantly I have learned how to think better. Through thinking in systems, taking a step back and being able to see a bigger picture, I have come to understand how seemingly insignificant decisions can have both far-reaching and long-lasting impacts. Because of this, I believe that it’s vital to solve surface level-problems as needed, but more importantly I believe that behind every surface-level problem is an opportunity to dig deeper and discover the problem behind the problem. We will be far more equipped to handle our problems when we can answer the question, “Why?”
